Artist Statement

Using vibrant, cheerful colors and intricate patterns, I strive to bring a sense of joy to the viewer. It delights me to watch exhibit guests take in my pointillist abstract art from afar, then draw closer and react with amazement at the thousand of multi-colored dots that make up the images.

In addition to my pointillist works, I challenge myself by exploring different styles and palettes. Mid-Century and Art Deco-inspired hard-edged abstract designs push my work in new directions. Additionally, I enjoy building my color mixing skills by creating the muted tones found in my Zorn palette collection.

A recent collection of pointillist works reflects on the question, "What's the Point?" It is inspired by nebula images and rendered using alternative tools and techniques.
